  • この中で完全にカヴァーなのが、1/ 4/ 10/ 11です。
  • 1.はトラディショナルな曲で Bill Monroe、Everly Brothers、Kentucky Colonels、Jerry Garcia & David Grisman、最近では Roger McGuinn も取り上げた有名なものです。
  • 4.はカントリーの名曲ですが、ロックファンにとっては何と言っても Flying Burrito Brothers のカヴァーが有名ではないでしょうか。オルタモントの悲劇（The Tragedy Of Altamont）で知られるコンサートを収録した Rolling Stones の映画「Gimme Shelter」の中で、当日前座を務めた Burritos の演奏シーンを見ることができます。
  • 10.もトラディショナル・ソングで Doc Watson の名演で有名です。余談ですが70年代にこのタイトルと同じ雑誌がありました。日本にブルーグラス音楽を広めた画期的な雑誌でしたが、80年代に入り惜しくも廃刊になっています。
  • 11.は The Byrds の初ライヴ・アルバム『Untitled』の1曲目に収録されていたもの。Clarence White がストリングベンダー付きのテレキャスターで弾くイントロ、しゃくりあげるような Roger McGuinn のヴォーカルと魅力たっぷりのナンバーです。
